The Grundfos CME Booster is a complete solution for domestic water supply. Comfort is a key word in regards to the Grundfos CME Booster. It ensures constant water pressure despite variations in demand or inlet pressure. The entire solution is a combined unit consisting of one Grundfos CME pump fitted with a five-way fitting and a diaphragm tank. When delivered, the entire package is ready to install and easy to operate.

No longer will there be fluctuations in water pressure due to a rise or fall in demand, or from pump starts and stops. Grundfos CME Booster keeps the pressure within the home up regardless of usage. The constant pressure feature provides the benefit of increased comfort. In addition the CME Booster makes it possible to personalise the water pressure. The right pressure in domestic water supply applications is important. The Grundfos CM Booster PM1 is the perfect solution for covering basic needs. Key characteristics include:

Mounted above the CM pump, the new Grundfos Pressure Manager PM1 adds an extra degree of control to domestic pressure boosting. The Pressure Manager PM1 is equipped with an integrated flow switch to optimise operations and ensures maximum protection of the pump. In addition, the flow switch serves as a non-return valve, resulting in a considerable reduction in pressure loss compared to a conventional non-return valve and flow switch solution. Because the new flow switch uses a spring as return mechanism instead of gravity, the orientation of the control unit is extremely flexible. This means that Pressure Manager can be freely positioned in the installation to counteract, for example, confined spaces or extensive pipe work.

The PM1's power supply exemplifies Grundfos' core value of thinking ahead. Traditional control units are usually unable to operate when the supply voltage falls outside the specified range. The PM1 eliminates this problem, having been constructed to allow it to receive its power from a generator, handling the accompanying fluctuations that can occur.

Grundfos has taken the frustration out of controlling variable water pressure. With a Grundfos CM Booster PM2, complex operations and cryptic parameters are a thing of the past. The Grundfos CM Booster PM2 provides adjustable pressure settings, allowing for maximum control of water pressure at pump start-up. With the integration of a pressure sensor from Grundfos Direct SensorsTM, the Pressure Manager PM2 offers entirely new and improved opportunities for pressure measurement.

The sensor supplies continuous information of the pressure in the system, enabling installers and end-users to:

  • Read current pressure on the intuitive LED display
  • Adjust the starting pressure (1.5 - 5 bar)
  • Start and stop the pump according to pressure

Pressure Manager represents the optimum solution both in systems with and without pressure tank, as PM2 can be optimised for operation with large external pressure tank by enabling the 1 bar differential pressure functionality. This significantly reduces the number of operating hours of the pump in installations with pressure tank.
